It happens. You have installed something either on purpose or unknowingly or you have malware infections and proceed to clean it up. Once done you cannot access the internet, in which case you are not reading this from the problem pc.
This is often the result of a damaged LSP. OOOOooooo what is that? It stands for Layer Service Provider and with out a good LSP you have no internet!
One thing you can try is to run a LSP repair tool. I have not used this on Windows 7 so I don’t know if it works beyond Windows XP. Click the linky below to get the tool:

Once you reboot check to see if it worked. If not, now try this:
- Go to Start > Run > cmd
- Issue the command ‘netsh winsock reset’
- Reboot the machine
These are just some quick things you can try. If there are still issues, you likely have Mal-ware and haven’t gotten it all removed. Might be time to take that computer to the doctor!
